...the hardest part... was overcoming the mindset.

For me, the hardest part of quitting was overcoming the mindset. Once I realized I did not actually NEED a cigarette, it became easier. I stopped blaming it on my anxiety, I stopped buying them and I told myself I am better without them and believed it. My grandmother has three types of cancer. My family has heart problems through three generations and a history of diabetes. I have plenty of reasons why I should have never started, and after I realized smoking a cigarette was not going to solve any of my problems, I quit.
