Quit Story: Jared
Guthrie, OK
I no longer feel like I’m missing out on time with my family, and I feel better on a daily basis.
I started vaping on my 14th birthday. At the time, I was going through a lot of depression, and one of my friends gifted me a vape for my birthday. From that point on, I was instantly addicted.
I knew I needed to quit, and I knew it was going to be hard, but I mostly had a lot of fears and concerns about my depression getting worse. So, when I really started trying to quit, it took me a while. My strategy was to step down my nicotine slowly over time.
Now that I’m totally vape free, I truly feel better on a daily basis. I no longer feel like I’m missing out on time with my family or that I need to take breaks; my whole dynamic with my family has completely changed. Quitting vaping was a gift to us, and my son will no longer grow up with someone addicted to nicotine. It means so much.
