Oklahoma Tobacco Helpline

I have a new belief in myself that I can do anything.

When I had surgery on my foot, the doc told me to quit. I thought it was for anesthesia reasons but it wasn’t. After three months, my foot was a “nonunion,” which means the bone graft wasn’t working. The doc said I might have to do it all over again.

It was because I smoked.

I was off then for four months, and I couldn’t bear the thought of redoing that surgery again. I quit cold turkey. I have a new belief in myself that I can do anything. The Oklahoma Tobacco Helpline has been texting everyday updates of health improvements and the money I’ve saved. It makes me want to stay quit. I’m 64 days smokefree.
